I thought I’d share my experience with two tumblr back-up options: TumblThree, and tumblr’s internal export command. Feel free to share your new home by reblogging, or any other method, either here or on my site.

And I’ll let my readers know where you’ve gone too (unless you ask me not to). So if anyone sets up on a new host, please drop me a line. And since I got a bit of a head start, maybe I can help people find you too. But in any case, I’d love to know where you all go. Maybe some of those plans aren’t finalized yet, which is understandable. I can’t be the only one who made plans to continue elsewhere. I started on tumblr, but moved all the content to my own site after I lost my main account way back around the time tumblr started hiding adult blogs from non-members and search engines. I think I’ve picked up a couple new followers by reblogging #TumblrIsDead memes, so for anyone who doesn’t know: I have another blog, which is about a fantasy world where some people aren’t allowed to wear clothes, either as a punishment, or because they signed up for it willingly.
